Before You Begin

What you'll need

These agents run in your environment. You keep control of the data, credentials, and review process; the items below help the package start cleanly.

Estimated setup time:~35 minutes
Required

Docker Desktop or Docker Engine

Required to run the agent container in your environment.

Install Docker
Required

Nexus License Key

Provided by the Nexus License Server after purchase. The agent uses it to confirm your tier and activate on your machine.

Optional

Model Provider API Key

Required or recommended depending on the agent. Each page lists the best model to start with and practical alternatives.

Required

~2 GB Disk + 1 GB RAM

Minimum local resources for the Docker container and its local history.

Required

Gmail OAuth Credentials

Required for Gmail-backed support intake and response drafting workflows.

Set up credentials

Your purchase includes the agent package, setup guide, license activation, health check, troubleshooting tools, and tier configuration. You provide the computer or server and any third-party keys the workflow uses.

License

Activation is handled by the Nexus License Server.

Your purchase includes a Nexus License Key.

The key confirms which agent and tier you purchased. During setup, the local package activates against the Nexus License Server for your computer or server and then checks that activation before running. This keeps access tied to the buyer without sending workflow data to ClearPoint Nexus.

FAQ

Questions teams ask before they deploy.

How does the Nexus License Key work?

After purchase, the Nexus License Server issues a license key for your agent and tier. You paste that key into the setup flow, and the agent checks it before running. If the key is missing, expired, revoked, or used on the wrong machine, the agent stops safely and explains what to fix.

What is included with a Premium Agent purchase?

You receive the agent package, setup guide, tier-specific configuration, license activation flow, health check, troubleshooting tools, and customer documentation for the workflow you purchased.

Where do my data and credentials go?

The agent is designed to run where you install it. Your local files, source exports, provider keys, Slack tokens, and mailbox credentials stay under your control. When an AI provider is used, the agent sends only the workflow context needed for that step through the provider key you configure.

Can we change providers or models later?

Yes. Each package lists a recommended model for best performance and supported alternatives. You can update the provider key or model setting during setup or later if your team prefers a different supported provider.
